AGTEK EARTHWORK 3D???

Does anyone else's use this app? What OS are you running? And any problems with it freezing the computer and ruining your .esw file?

hi big dirt, i also use this Agtek OS and encounter same problem before, freezing my PC i think it depends on what system you are using is it Windows XP, NT or what ?

We are running Win 2000. It is happening on 3 of my machines all hte same specs. 1 is crashing more often than the other. Agtek said it was the og that was being imported. But i know its something else, cause its happening on other jobs w/ diff OG's...My win98 machine is running like a champ.. Software supposed to get better and more compatiable not the other way around. What solutions if any have you tried?What OS are you using?

The only solution i can think of ... don't install other software in one CPU along with AGTEK coz this system may crush with other party , that's what i did i had diff party w/ diff CPU.

We use Win XP for our jobs. We had a huge job...32 miles long that made our computer crash every time when we went to 3D...so we had to get the biggest comp on the market. Your comp can only handle so much.

Try turning off auto- pan, I have good luck with that.

If I recall correctly part of the crashing problem with Agtek has to do with your visual graphics for your monitor. You may need to upgrade your video card. We upgraded ours and have had much less crashing incidences (I can't recall the specific requirements, but Agtek support should be able to provide that information), although it seems the larger the project, the more potential there is for crashing.
