hi all,

This is my first time I post my own problem because the most awnsers were already available.
Could someone help me with starting a eigenvalue simmuliation in the SEM 103 modes wwith repaeating components.

My exact problem is to get the interaction between parts because I got a 1/19 part of a circular model.

Screenshots:

could someone tell me how to link the fem parts to get a simmulation of the vane including interaction.

thank you in advanced.

Hello!
You need to use either rigid RBE2 elements of glue contact edge-to-face to connect components. All components are meshed in only a FEM file.
Alternatively you can use the Assembly FEM files concept.
An assembly FEM file is an optional file type you can use to create CAE models that consist of multiple FEM files. An assembly FEM file serves as the master model for a Simulation file. It contains occurrence and position data for component FEM files, as well as connection elements and property overrides.

An assembly FEM (.afm) file supports enhanced workflows for analyzing large assemblies. Assembly FEMs are similar to part assemblies. Much like the way a part assembly contains occurrence and position data for multiple component parts, an assembly FEM contains occurrence and position data for multiple component FEMs. In addition, the assembly FEM contains the connection elements that join component FEMs into a system, as well as material and physical property overrides on component FEM meshes.

Check the NX AdvSim manual and TUTORIALS to learn how to create Assembly FEMs.

Best regards,
Blas.

Dear Blas,

RBE2
This is something I've tried but these elements cannot connect the 2 lines in 1 face (I don't know why). and if they create a link they go directly (true the model) instead of around the middle point.

assembly fems
this is the same thing the Siemens Helpdesk suggested. 1 problem, this method can downsize a assembly to a 1D connection but I need to give a reaction from the back of the model to the begin of the model because it’s a cylindrical pattern of 19 vanes.
This is not possible with a static 1D connection

any other suggestions?

best regards,
Sander
