Add vertex to chamfer dimension

I have a dimension .004 X 45 degrees created with the CHAMFER DIMENSION command. I used the Callout Perpendicular under the Properties. It pulls a leader off with the chamfer dimension. Is it possible to add a vertex to the leader now? I know you can do it with leaders by using the ALT key while selecting the leader line, but I can't get it to work with the chamfer dimension.
