Hello all,

I am having a problem, I have an assembly of a mechanism which I need to simulate using the move object tool of the assembly.
I have already made everything except that I need to change one constraint from one face to another after for example my "p18>=500mm".
Actually I am doing it manually, but I was wondering if you guys know how to do it automatic, with some expression or so... (for example an if statement) but I don't know how to activate and suppress constraints that way.

Thank you all in advance,
Best regards,

Cláudio Almeida

kapmnit123,

Thank you very much for your answer.
After reading that thread I tried using the arrangements but yet I didn't succeded. Maybe I am doing something wrong, I'll try explaint it again with a schematic picture to see if the problem lies between my chair and keyboard, or not :D

So the thing is, I have a mesure distance expression wich gives me the position of the solid B (on the right). My solid A (left) is fixed.
When that distance is >= a certain value, I want my solid B to continue it's move but now with the touch constrain in red. Until that distance is < certain value I want the touch constrain in yellow active.
What I couldn't achive is to change the active constraints by means of some expression, wich allows me to simulate the motion of the solid B (right), which should be always connected with solid A (in the complete mechanism it's done by means of a spring).

Thank you very much for you kind help,

Regards

Hi,
So sorry...your case is more complex than i originally thought of. I have no idea if NX expressions (using conditional statements) can control constraint suppression in assemblies.
Might be experts on this forum will guide you better.
To me it conjured up a picture of NX mechatronics concept designer rather than NX assemblies.
Will surely let you know if find some solution using assemblies.
Regards
Kapil
