Has anyone designed a water distribution line (steel or ductile iron) that was installed above ground, either at grade or on pipe supports, on a steep slope (approx. 2:1)? I'm looking for design details, and a contact at a west coast (USA) water agency that has this type of pipeline in their system. Thanks!

In hydropower business we call such pipes penstocks. Check with USBR, they are likely to have some publication on Surface Penstocks.

Ciao.
