Thanx for ur response
But if a load of 200Kg applying on 1m*1m area,
let us take ,if i keep depth 0.01mm,wht will be the result
& also in other case if i keep depth 100mm ,what will
be the result,
i mean to say irrespective of area, depth will also take load, but in calculation part, depth is totally out of scene
my question is why cant we keep,..
Force/Volume
Stress, by definition, is a planar entity. If you want to look at stresses in a part at varying locations ("depths" as you put it), you look at different cross sections, depending on what it is you are interested in. Force/volume is weight density.
