about generators in parallel system

Dear experts
I would like to know the status of generators in parallel system.

G1---50% loading
G2---50% loading

if i want to use only one generator to supply power, can i smoothly transfer the load from generator 2 (G2) to generator 1 (G1).

look like that
G1---50% G1---60% G1---80% G1---100%
G2---50% G2---40% G2---20% G2---0%

can i according to adjust the governor and AVR controller to achieve that?

I know that many parallel system just opens the circuit breaker to transfer the loading. as below
G1---closed circuit breaker---50% then G1---closed circuit breaker---100%
G2---closed circuit breaker---50% then G2---opened circuit breaker---0%
