I had a problems with Abaqus CAE some months ago. I found that some windows automatically updates had caused this problem:

But the problem came back when Windows keep updating and the cummulative updates became a stack update. That means that I cannot uninstall the problematic updates. After having tried several things, I have found the real cause of these problems. The solution was:
-Reboot and enter the BIOS.
-Deactivate "Intel VT" (Virtualization Technology)
It has been a pain in the neck. I hope this will help some of you having the same problem.
