Hi. I have a problem with the contact between beams and shell. General contact was adopted and the second following sentence was added between the first and the third.
*Contact
*contact formulation, type=edge to edge, forlumation=radial //added in the keywords.
*Contact Inclusions, ALL EXTERIOR

The whole is divided into three steps: Initial, Step1, and Step2. Interaction settings were put in Initial step; line load was put in Step 1 and a displacement boundary condition was put in Step 2.
When I submitted, the model run quite well in Step 1 but was aborted in Step 2. I got confused for many days. Could anybody give me some hints?
Thanks

Your problem seems to become unstable. There are messages regarding too large displacement and rotation correction in the .msg file.

When you add stabilization in step 2, then the analysis will continue a bit longer and you will see, that there is quite some movement in y direction. And this happens nearly without additional load.

You can try to use implicit or explicit dynamic with quasi-static settings to solve that.
