I am experiencing a problem with Abaqus 6.12 which i never had using Abaqus 6.7. I have got a node set of 26000 nodes. I used to plot them first within the Abaqus 6.7 GUI in order to extract the data into .RPT file using the Report>XY option. However i am not been able to do this in Abaqus 6.12 even at the "XY data from ODB Field Output>Plot" stage. The error comes up as
'Requested operation will result in the creation of a very large number of xyDataObjects. Please reduce the number of specified entities using Display Group operations before re-performing this operation'.
I dont understand this error as i am using the same computer. And i dont want to reduce number of nodes. Have they introduced any new way to extract data from a large node set?
Has anyone else had this problem? is it still possible to extract large nodal data using the GUI or would be better doing using scripting.
Any answers to this will be highly appreciated.
