Dear,

In Brazil we have two standards about the materials use in sub-base and base in roads/highways. DNIT 139/2010 for sub-base and DNIT 141/2010 for base. This standards are based in AASHO Road Test.

Requirements for materials used in sub-base are:
- CBR: 20% or more.
- EXPANSION: 1% or less
- GI (Group's indice): 0

Requirements for materials used in base are:
- CBR: 60% or more / 80% or more (Depends of traffic)
- EXPANSION: 0,5% or less
- Liquid limit: 25% or less
- Plasticity index: 6% or less
- Los Angeles Abrasion: 55% or less

I am conducting a study and need to compare the standards, but don't have the standard AASHTO M 147 here. Can anyone tell me what are the parameters used for application materials as sub-base and base by AASHTO?

Thanks in advance.
Raphael
