I am a newcomer to Abaqus and recently I am trying to set up a 3D model for nanoindention on nanoline structures. One question is about the model of indenter shape. The indenter shape is like a cone with a round tip. For the consideration of simplicity, I used "rigid body" in the model and only want to model a quarter of the indenter. I searched the manual and found I can define the shape with
"surface, type=revolution, name=indenter". But how could I only rotate the line profile for 90 degree in the revolution control to get only a quarter of the indenter? Thank you very much for any help. I really appreciate your help.
