Good Day to all who read this post first off. Yes I am new. Thanks for letting me part of your club.

Anyways,

I have an 8262G022LT ASCO Solenoid valve. I am pretty positive this model is AC only. It is a 12.1 watt valve with a class F coil. VA Holding is 23 and the VA in-rush is 47.

Basically I am controlling the valve through a serial relay with my software and need an appropriate power supply. I am not the best when it comes to making these decisions and was wondering if anyone out there had an idea on something I can use. Ideally I would be looking to plug the AC PSU into a standard wall jack with an adapter to step the power down or up. I assume it would need to be stepped down however. Not sure once again.

Thanks,
Erik

There is no telling without knowing the required "coil voltage". Often the Asco part numbers do not indicate this. You have to partially disassemble the valve to see the voltage sticker or stencil on the coil itself.
