I had no idea how sorry 32 bit was compared to 64 bit with the same RAM.

No - not sarcastic - just felt stupid for not knowing.

OK. No reason to feel stupid, a lot of people don't know it. Very common.

I'm hoping we upgrade here at the office. I'm trying to talk my boss into a 64 bit and a new server.

Real men make clean and efficient parts and assemblies so that they do run smoothly on a 32-bit ... or not! [roll1]

KevinDeSmet, what you say is true - to a point only. Smart women and men make parts and assemblies which are efficient, and run as smoothly as possible. However, at a certain point in sheer assembly size, the lack of RAM will catch up to you and lead to crashes and severe slow downs.
