3D view - beam post processing

Do you know if it's possible to obtain the stress distribution on a beam section in 3D.

Which version of ABAQUS do you use? I think there is no possibility to view cross section of beam elements in post processing. My colegue sas that in v6.8 there is so option but I have not checked it.

I use the abaqus v6.7.8 and I try to obtain a view of the stress distribution on a beam section.

i've checked this option in v6.8. You can only view beam elements profile on deformed or underformed plot modes in visualisation profile. (View-->ODB Display Option). You cannot see calculated values from field output at render beam profiles.
