Greetings,
I was wondering if there were any consequent bad sides to using 3d sketches?
Why not use them all the time?

Thank you

If I'm going to create a 3D sketch it is because there is no other way. And create 2D sketches (or surfaces generated from 2D sketches) first to control the 3D sketch.

It takes more constraints to fully define a 3d sketch, and they tend to take much more effort to control.

I agree, I only use them when 2D sketches cannot do what I need done.

Yeah it has certainly caused me problems!
Thank you!

2d sketches have an implied plane for projection, and require fewer explicit constraints. Also, the majority of sketch applications still don't require 3D.
