I was just wondering what other user

PTC is the first company to embrace the ANSI
standards for 3d annotations. In 10 years the only people who will be
using detail drawings will be purchasing folks and quality control persons.
The CNC machine does not care about drawings. The 3d notes are
really all that is available for the CNC operator.



3d annotations are here to stay and this is only the start. If our trends
hold true, Solidworks may even have 3d annotations in three years.
