That is some type of cabling going across the ceiling and the sets of risers are also cables. It is easy to see that they are cables by not having any fittings and it would be impossible to pull wire thru. I don"t understand the reasoning for running the cables like that. Should have used cable tray that is hung from the ceiling.
That is the best cable work, that I have seen. It is a really big WOW, mighty fine workmanship.

Do you think That there are errors in this design?
Is the contractor or engineer did not notice this case ?

If it works, leave it alone. I would not have design that way but that the way it is.

No I do not see any errors but labor costs would be very high.

Looks like a lot of work for the contractor to install all of the EMT bends. It's probably so there won't be shadows from the lights. Usually, the EMT is run straight and the lights hung a little below.

I am lost for words. If that is cable then it's a type new to me but credit to the installer for making it so neat.

If I had designed it I would have slung ladder rack beneath the concrete (?) roof beams and installed the cable on the racks, with lighting slightly below the racks on either chains or conduit droppers. If labour is cheaper than material then maybe this way makes sense.

By looking at the picture it is EMT conduit with flex conduit close to the panels and any tight bends. Or is it GRS?

Are there more than 4 bends per run?

Do you have a high resolution picture we can see?

That is not conduit runs, it is all cables.

I disagree. That is EMT. Looks like EMT, has standard EMT connectors, and has standard conduit clamps. Has standard boxes included at spots. It's the correct color for zinc plated metal. Don't ever recall seeing cable that color.

If you are certain that installation is cable could you tell us what type it is - I've never seen any cable of that type. Even mineral-insulated types tend to be plain copper sheathed, not tinned and certainly not galvanised. My guess is that it is conduit but if you can demonstrate otherwise I'm more than happy to be wrong.

If it is not cable, then is it aluminum painted?

It looks like someone who is new to this field might have designed.

I still believe that they are cables, maybe some is painted. If it is conduit, it would be impossible to pull wire. Also most of the "cables" have a very tight (small) radius 90^o which is impossible for conduit.
After looking at the bottom photo, top right that maybe conduit using some type of flex only at the bottom of the concrete beam. Also the five (conduits) with flex runs also seems to be conduit to the wall. Following the runs in the top photo down to the where each run drops off. Also seems like the same is true for 3 runs in the top photo, top, far right.
Granted, I am not informed about IEC wiring standards as I should be. My experience is with the NEC wiring standards.

In have no idea what type of cables they are. As I stated in my first posting of this thread, I would have used cable tray.

Hopes this posting clears up some of the questions about why I stated that it was all cables. Now I believe that there is some conduit included.

Good point. It would be impossible to pull cables through conduit with all of those bends. The ceiling runs could be Teck cable. The ones on the wall look like EMT.

Dave - I agree, it's a real odd looking installation!

Do we know where in the world this installation is located? Is it possible that we are looking at aluminium-sheathed cable?
