The architect wants a wall that has a recess at between two slab levels. The bottom meter high of the wall is a 300mm thick cavity brickwork wall, the middle meter high is a 220mm brickwork wall and the top meter is 300mm thick cavity wall again.

I am trying to figure out the best way to support the top, wider wall. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There are also cases where a window opening, 1.1m wide and 1m high is within the 220mm brickwork wall which also needs support.

If there is a lot of repetition, possibly consider a purpose made 300 wide precast lintel/beam for the top portion.
If there is not a lot of repetition then ask the architect if you can have 330 brickwork instead of a 300 cavity wall. This would then be easy to resolve.
