(3) 2x8 Wood Beam Connection at HSS4x4 Column 1

Hello, I could use suggestions for face-mount connection details for 3-ply 2x8s w & w/o 1/2" plywood fillers to an HSS4x4x3/8 column, say at mid-height and at the top. Needs light gravity and out of plane capacity.

I agree with amecENG. You can look through Simpson strong tie's connectors first, but I doubt you'll find something, just create your own bracket. Pay attention to NDS details for where you locate your bolts through the wood members, otherwise you'll risk splitting the members.

Just use a thru-the steel tube column knife (kerf) plate with a bearing plate below with two thru-bolt through the knife (kerf) plate, all welded to the steel tube column.

Thank you all. Unfortunately, Simpson doesn't have a product for this application, so it will have to be fabricated. A "U-shaped" bent PL welded to column with thru bolts seems easy enough
 
boo1, thank you for your suggestion. The HUC68 with the Lap-Joint Fillet Weld option will also work perfectly.
