Just noticed with NX9, if you add 2D geometry (associative lines and arcs) to the model, if you now want that geometry to display in drawing views they have to be explicitly updated.

Is that correct ?

NX 9.0.2.5 (Desperate for 9.0.3)
NX 10 (Testing)
Windows 7 64 (Windows 8.1 Tablet)

Are we talking about a Master Model drawing or a Drawing in the same file as the model? Was the Drawing already created before the 2D geometry was added to the model? The way you describe this, it sounds as if you're suggesting that this did not happen with pre-NX 9.0 versions of NX. Is that what you were implying?

Master model, separate drawing.

Create a block, add a base Top view to the drawing.

Go back to the model, draw a line on the top face of the block.

Return to the drawing, the line isn't displayed. I'm using Entire Part reference set.

Certainly didn't work that way in NX6.

It works fine for me, but I am using NX 9.0.3.3, a development phase of the next MR (Maintenance Release).
