Has anyone used the new Task Scheduler method of file conversion for 2009?
You would assume that when you add a folder, that it would only convert the files that are in the folder, but that is not the case. It goes after all ref's, even toolbox refs. Somehow, it even finds some broken refs. It is a monster, and will tear through your machine. With the backup selected it thankfully will dump everything into zip folders. I had already backed up my 07 and 08 stuff on a server, but didn't think I needed to do it to the local toolbox, so I am glad I checked the option.
The other beef, is that there is no way to see what it is going to go after until it starts, and then there is no way to pause it. It can be stopped only by killing it. It really is a poor tool. Has anyone elsed used it? I saw one other guy on the SW forum complaining the 09 trashed his older toolboxes.
Thanks,
rfus
