I heard that 200i2 had video card problems, is it true? what other problems did you get in installing pro/e 200i2?

2000i2 does not have graphics problems. The problem lies in companies try to save a few bucks and purchasing a low wnd graphics driver. Graphic issues are hardware specific and graphics driver specific.

2000i2 does have graphic problems.....

We are running on an HP with Visualize graphics.
Most of the problems arise when changing the spin
center. Many times pro will crash altogether, other
times it will give an error "dbl_crash" and any
spinning, zooming, or panning using the CRTL key
is disabled. Pro must be restarted to correct this.
This has been observed on different graphics cards
and does not occur in 2000i running on the same
machines.

Same with me!

My problems started when I upgraded to 2000i2. I had excellent speed and no problems with 20 or 2000i.

Is there a list (from a magazine or PTC wedsite) of Graphic Cards, and system specs. for NT, that are adequate to run 2000i2?

Yes, there is a compatible hardware list. It's on PTC's website, and it lists all compatible video cards on many different platforms. If you use a tested, compatible video card (that is set up correctly), you will not experience the problems mentioned above.

Link to the hardware page:

Also listed here are the minimum system requirements for each O/S. If you are experiencing graphics problems, it's not ProE...it's because you upgraded to a version of ProE without looking up what the system requirements needed to be. Same as if you purchased a new 3D video game for $50 and were upset when you got it home and it didn't work only because you didn't look at the little panel on the box that told you what the minimum and recommended system requirements were.
