I'm looking for information about 2 phase brushless motors. I'd like to see the various methods for connection and winding both unipolar and bipolar(such as bifilar, etc.). I'm interested in only using 4 transistors for the output stage. I've done the internet searches and keep coming up with 2 and 4 phase step motors. I feel that there is much similarity, but I'd like to see some information specifically about permanent magnet brushless dc motors. Any help would be appreciated.
