I would like to inquire if it is a Code requirement to use 2 pole circuit breaker for 125Vdc, 2 wire system. The switchgear used 2Pole breakers while the panelboard used 1pole circuit breakers...does this matter?

If this is for your breaker control I would recommend not grounding it. This is a VERY important DC circuit. If this is an automatic application and the last thing you want is the Charger to be shutting down on Ground Fault. I assume all your protective relays are going to be running off this 125VDC also. You lose the source you lose all protection.
