I have a 12 lead 40 hp motor. They marked 2 leads as T3. I know there is a way to identify the leads with a battery but can not remember the procedure. Can anyone help?

Hello Startuptech

There were several good threads written about this proceedure, If you use advanced search option you will find a lot of good info.

The terminals must ring continuity as follows:
T1 and T4
T2 and T5
T3 and T6
T7 and T10
T8 and T11
T9 and T12

If most of your terminals are identified try first continuity with any multimeter.
