In my analysis, I have a bracket and a valve sitting on the bracket. I have modeled the valve as a 0D mesh at the CG location of the valve. I have supplied only the mass information to the 0D mesh. Ran the analysis and got the results. In the second run, I have supplied the mass moment of inertia also along with the mass information for the valve. Ran the analysis and got the result. I have same result in both cases. I was wondering how the mass moment of inertia influence the results? The analysis is simple gravity loading analysis.
