Hi,
this is my "take" on the conversion.
Hope it makes sensehttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=c68ba74f-5c79-4a62-8637-77670f02dddf&file=Circuit.pdf
Have a look at www.process-informatik.de
They have ethernet interfaces that will work with the S7 software and plug into the programming port on the S7 200 or S7 300 PLC.
You connect your laptop via a hub or ethernet cross over cable.
I know the weight of material in a feed screw.
The feed screw runs at a constant speed.
How do I calculate the flow of material in Kg/Min?
Any help would be appreciated?
Have a look at the Moeller Electic Wiring Manual.
It includes sample cirucits for all types of motor control, including Multi-speed contactors/star-delta contactors/DOL contactors/Automated pump control.
It shows the motor wiring as well as the control wiring.
Hi,
I am looking for information on different cables and connections used to connect Siemens PLC to OP's and PG's.
Are all the connections to OP's the same?
Is there a manual/data sheet available to download showing all connections?
Thanks.
Have a look at the following web site
www.plcman.co.uk
There is a free version of Step 5 available for download.
This is an old version, version 3.??
But will connect with all the S5 PLC's
Regards,
To make changes to the S5 you will need the Step 5 programming software.
This is MSDOS based.
You will also need the RS232 to TTY converter. The S5 PG Port is TTY.
the part number from Siemens is 6ES5 734-1BD20
You can download a copy of S5 ver 3 from www.plcman.co.uk
Hope this helps?
The S5 PLC's uses a TTY interface (20mA) there is a converter to change the RS232 on your PC into the TTY for the S5 PLC.
The S7 300/400 uses a MPI interface.
The S7 200 uses a PPI interface.
Both are based on the RS484(?) protocols, again there are interfaces available for both of these PLC's...
There is a conversion program included with the Step 7 Simatic manager.
It may not convert your program 100%. use it to convert then manually check it.
Or send me the S5 project.
Regards.
