Dear all,
we are constructing equipment with a MDMT equal to -196 °C.
We know that impact test are not necessary fro:
base material: according to UHA-51(d)
HAZ: according to UHA-51(d)
What about the weld material itself? If we use filler metal with impact test certification it is possible to...
thanks Metengr for your clarification.
I know that a Technical Inquiry has been sent to the ASME Committee to clarify this point. If it could be of your interest I'll return to you as soon as I have the answer.
Metengr, thanks for your prompt answer.
The code case is really clear and it states that for the cold stretching operation you can use the same formula before the stretching. It's logic because you don't know the stretched thickness a priori and so you use a well known value: the one before...
Good morning everybody,
I have a question for you.
After a cold stretching performed on the internal vessel of a criogenic tank, we found that the real (measured) thickness is lower than the calculated one considering the allowable design stress according to the table 1 of the code case 2596-1...
Morning all,
could someone explain me what is a "string test" applied to a compressor (not coupled with a turbine)? Is it similar to a tunning test or a mechanical test?
thanks in advance
Claudio
Patricia, you're right!
I mean DEPKES...sorry but it is the first time a read such code!
Do you have any further information about them? Or do you know where I can more?
Guys good morning,
does anybody know if a pressure vessel designed according to ASME VIII Div. 1 is accepted by MIGAS regulations?
Particularly, does anybody know more about this MIGAS (Indonesian) code/regulation? And what are DEPKNER regulations?
