Is there way to change a crosshatch in a drawing file, in my case the scale, without clearing the check in the ‘material crosshatch’ box? We want the model material to drive the drawing for crosshatch selection. The problem we have is the default at the model level is at a scale of 1 and appears...
What I might be telling you may be similair to handleman's suggestion...but you may need to check ON 'Display Shaded Planes' under Tools/Options/System Options/Display-Selection. You can change the transparency under Tools/Options/Document Properties/Plane Display. Hope hat helps.

Always work out of a local drive whenever possible when using SolidWorks. I've seen similar issues like this especially if you are working out of several directories thru an intranet connection. When opening an assembly in SolidWorks there is a hierarchy set of searches to find all the parts...
josephv...that's interesting that CADRA is considered 2.5D. I am really not sure what that means. I can't bash the software though...it provided a paycheck when I needed it most. I like your tip and it will be considered.
ctopher...I know exactly what you mean but the drive is to make all (or...
Ok...I looked quick but I couldn't find any fix or reason to the problem I am having. We use snapshots for representation of wiring configurations in our electro-mechanical assemblies. When a note or a note with a leader is used to define an object in the picture, the text hides behind the...
Hey Draftsman101...as we folks here in Massachusetts say..."Wicked pissa!" How long did that take you to create?

FYI to all...eDrawings make a quick and easy file for viewing both model and drawing. Make sure to publish with the html option...it embeds the necessary files to open and view the model and drawing. Or you can give your costumer the link to download SW Viewer or eDrawing viewer.

from MadMango:
"HR can't tell the difference even when we tell them what to look for. I always wonder who we have passed-up due to HR's screening attempts..."

I disagree with a photo of any kind in a resume. However, I carry a portfolio of the more important 3D models I have created and/or designed. This portfolio also makes for great conversation for those who are interested to look thru it and want to ask questions. I'm also proud to have it with me...

I had a one page resume but it seemed I was skimming the surface on some of the skills and knowledge I had achieved over the years. Also, the font size was getting smaller and smaller just so I could fit it on one page. With a two page resume I'm able to convey what I deem important but as the...
cmm...I’m not sure of or fully understand the question…you may want to re-word it for clarification but I think you’re trying to create a ‘broken out section’ view from a ‘detail view’…as in Detail ‘A’ or possibly Section ‘B-B’. If so then SolidWorks doesn’t let you do this. I get this message...
Silash...please state what SW version and SP you are using. Have you tried changing the view from a shaded to wireframe just to see what happens? Can you right click on the part in the assy? Do they appear in the tree display?

That's interesting to know about states with a specific law. Correct if I am wrong but if someone attends and graduates from a 4 year college with a B.A. in M.E., they should at the least be able to use the title of an engineer. Why would a company NOT want to advertise that they have degreed...
Most folks use the 'fudge' factor when writing their resume. Some don't and probably should. When is too much 'fudging' going to get you in trouble? If you’re in a position to review resume´s what are you looking for to help narrow down candidates? How do you decipher between “lies” and...

Oh I agree...hostage is what they desire because they want to know what your doing. C'mon now...they read every e-mail you send to all those ex-girlfreinds...right?!? Anyhow, my approach is fairly benign. Beat them to death with the kindness stick which will give you some privileges and show...
Dear Grimey...if I search the word 'SEX' thru google or yahoo I would find just about anything from 'Sex in the City' to 'Types of Positions'...LOL!!! but I understand your point. Your resume or business card is what we all want to look like on paper. Some fudge to make themselves look better...
Or you could say "I don't care at all!" :~)
Experience is key no matter what the title is. However, in the reference to the "Dragonslayer" title above...it was important but only because it was different and got attentionn. However...if you were to use "P*rnstar" on a business card or...
