Would a 2" PE waterline be sufficient?

Thanks jt, Their is an existing water tank on the side of the hill about 130 feet in elevation difference from the lowest home and about 50 ft elev. difference from the nearest home. All homes are downhill from the tank. We'll be installing some small pumps in the homes to increase pressure...

Would a 2" PE waterline be sufficient?

I guess to help clarify. This is for a reservation who do not want any fire hydrants or any of the required systems due to lack of funding and they dont want to maintain it. They just want water to their homes. Thats all. I was thinking to put in a 4 inch line but it'll be hard to get all...

Would a 2" PE waterline be sufficient?

For an 8 unit development spread over max Length of 3000lf. Also, anyone know what the normal flow should be for a home w/ 40-60psi? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Powerline & Gasline Cost Estimates

Hi guys, Anyone here has a cost estimate for a buried single phase powerline and gas line for the Utah area or somewhere comparable? A spreadsheet would be perfect. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Will

Water Well Placement. How close to stream?

We are trying to set the best location for a new well. The owner wants it close to the running stream. Any guidelines/pointers on how close to stream/river we can go? Thanks for any help you can give.

How to Set an Altitude Valve

Does it have a digital meter that'll show you what your High Water & Low Water settings are?

How to Set an Altitude Valve

Hi, Anyone familiar with setting altitude valves. This is a 1-way Watts ACV Flow altitude valve Mustang Series Model M127-1. Anyone know how to go about setting this altitude valve to control two tanks at different elevation. It has to shut off lower tank when full to push water back up...

    Concrete Tank Leak Test

Hi, Does anyone know what the allowable leakage is for a concrete tank. Some say its 0.5%. Is this correct? We just put a 150k gallon up and is ready for commision, but we need to verify that the leak test passed. Please advise. Thanks

    Water Well Design

Anyone know of good sources to learn how to design a water well system? We would like to use a well to fill a new 150k water tank using the same distribution line used to feed the city. The well will be approximately 450ft deep and will have to push water an extra 120ft head and its located...

    Pressure Test Leakage

We are having problems with our ductile iron line/ HDPE line holding pressure. The contractor says its an air lock problem, and we said its a water leaking somewhere. We pressurized the waterline up to 125psi and 70 minutes later it dropped to 95psi. Is there a way to know if this is a...

Min. & Max. velocity flow for sewer pipes

So the minimum velocity is 2 fps, rather the pipe is flowing full or half-full. Thanks

Min. & Max. velocity flow for sewer pipes

I have been told by the city that I need to design sewer pipes flowing half full to have a minimum of 2 fps velocity. Is this standard practice, or does anyone know what the min. & max flow velocities are for sewer pipes. Sizes 8-15" inside diameter. Thanks in advance for any help.

How to design a reverse curve on a curve

Thanks eea. Because of the Reverse Curve (RC) being on a curve, the two radii will not be the same. Are you saying the allowable ratio if not symmetrical is 1/3 - 2/3? Or can the 2 curves on the RC be whatever radii that'll make it work? Please advise. Thanks

    Reverse Curve

How do I design a paint stripe reverse curve for a left turn lane. Is there an equation to calculate the radius or each curve?

How to design a reverse curve on a curve

I am designing a reverse curve on a curve with superelevation. Does anyone have an equation or an idea of how to design this manually or on autocad? Appreciate any info you can give. Thanks

    Reusing old Trussess

Thanks for your reply. Attached is a picture of the trusses. Hope this gives you a better idea. He said they were bought new from the Manufacturer over a year ago and he does not want to pay the expensive fee for the manufacturer to recertify his trusses. Appreciate your advice on this...

    Reusing old Trussess

I've got a friend who wants me to certify that he can use wooden trusses he bought over a year ago to build his new house. The trusses have been sitting outside the entire time with no cover on them. They are still in tact but a few hair cracks about 4-5 inches long are noticed on the ends...
