Cavertodd,
Our company are using MasterCam v9.0 with SolidWorks. The Exportation SolidWorks - Mastercam with PARASOLID is perfect. MasterCam recognizes a lot of geometry, surfaces, solids. Much better than SolidWorks and Pro-E. It´s one of the most confiable CAM softwares.
Perhaps you could...
Experiences with our clients reports:
- SW 2003 is 30% slower than SW 2001+.
- The hardware is the same, the operational system is the same. Why SW 2003 get slower???
I hope someone could explain to me...

Hi guys,
"Split Dimensions" in Drawings are gone. Perhaps the new version of SW made this functin easilly! Wait a little more and the you´ll see "Perfect Dimensions" in drawings.
About the automatic centerlines and centermarks, in SW 2001+ only with API. But, the next...
In addition to the answer gaven by madmango:
Perhaps you could create a mirrored component, in the field: "Insert, Mirroreds Components". Then, try to reconstruct it with the option "Recreate Mates". This would create a copyied component, not a mirrored component.
My best...
If I understood your question:
Unfortunately you can´t add nested (derived) configuration using Design Tables or API.
The only choice you have is add manualy a derived configuration through the configuration manager.
Hope that helps.
Geometry Pattern works fine. I made a lot of examples, and always work fine.
BBJT made a simplified example, but explain the theory of geometry pattern.
"Each instance is an exact copy of the faces and edges of the original feature".
Hope that helps.
Jack,
Why you dont use the models of aluminum treadplate of SW?
Then you can set the right scale.
Althoug, if you want to export the picture, try to change the scale when you export it. Inside the SW, you can´t do that. Only with the SW´s defaults.
My preference is try to use the defaults of...
Adrian,
Are you working with assembly or part? I think it is assembly.
Well, first of all, if you know the distance that the pin stick out of the bushing, place an distance mate.
Second, if you make the 2 parts by the same process (mid-plane), then use smart mates to positioning them together...
I forget to say. In the tab "Displacement", you must choose first "Style" and select some option. Then, select the correct scale.
Thanks.
I dont understand very well your question.
I´ll split it in 2.
First- You must not give the scale for your picture. It apply perfect in the perfect scale to your part.
Second- You took the image of polished aluminum treadplate to a plate. It is not in the correct scale because it´s not...
Scott is right.
SW Toolbox is perfect for your application. Smart Fasteners is perfect for this. Use it! If you dont have yet, buy it!
You can write a macro too, but this is much more complicaded.
Hope that helps.
PS: Hey Scott, I saw your page. It is very cool. I take one or two parts and...
