i don't know what CTRL+F does in your office, but at my place it starts up 'find and replace'. I can't imagine what you want Solid Edge to do with this command.
As for the ALT-key combinations. They still do the same: They open up the 'Pull-Down'-menu's (which are now the tabs)...

Correction: I hope ST2 will be supported on Windows 7.
Sorry to hear it won't... I'm sick of installing XP, Vista is slow, Windows 7 would be a relief.

Hi All,
a few weeks ago I installed Solid Edge ST on Windows 7. Must say it works very good, just had to do some tweaking to get it installed:
Installation will stall. Open task manager and kill the process printerinstaller and Installation will end.
Same for the Maintenance Packs.

I am running V20 on Vista and there are no problems. The only Vista problem we have is synchronizing issues with our Small Business Server 2003 (roaming profiles).
I think that's where you should be careful with, Solid Edge is no problem.

you can use the create 3D option from the draft environment. This command can be found under the Tools pull down menu.
The command asks for a view. Select it (window select to make it easy). Then click next view, select a view to the side or above the first one.

If i'm right the solution is to make the cutout, then pattern it along the area.
I'm assuming you do have a rectangular area, otherwise it would be more dificult.
