Yes,just toggle off Associative option in Wave Geometry linker dialog. Thanks, Michael

John, After converting a part with a Swoop surface from inch to mm,edit this surface using x-form funciton( with Associative Edit Freeform off), notice that previewed surface back to inch length. is the original expression taking effect? Thanks, Michael

There is no way to extract surfaces directly from facet body so far in Shape Studio Application in NX. you can try following functions if you like, 01 you can use Section Analysis and create section curves, and then mesh surfaces using these curves. 02 you can use Rapid Surfacing to create faces...

In NX5 or later version, you may try to use Rapid Surfacing fucntion(In Shape Studio application,Insert->Surface->Rapid surface), it is new function ,it is useful to construct one surface quickly. Thanks, Michael

you can use Analysis |Deviation|Gauge,checking to validate it.It'll helpfull.

where is the TC feature: Insert| Mesh Surface|Through Curve. Basically, select several splines as its sections.you can choose point as its secion as well.

If you select Edge/Curve from Selection Bar,it will work as NX3. Michael.

Right!NX5 will provide ability that can meet G1,G2 or G3 constraint between curve and surface.The inputs including: surface & surface,surface & curve.
