I have tried changing those settings. They do work while not isolating components, but as soon as I start isolating pieces, the setting seem to have no effect.

Thanks for your reply.
I am able to make the whole assembly transparent, which is not what I want. I want all parts except the one being edited to be transparent.
When editing a part in the context of an assembly, all other parts change to the transparent state I set in "Options". However, if I Isolate several components and then edit a part, I cannot get the other pieces to change transparency. What's up with that? Thank you

sorry for not getting back sooner...I'm using a Cordless Desktop MX3000, the mouse is an MX600. I had to disable the side-scrolling option, as it clicks easier than the center button.

I assigned buttons on my mouse to such tasks as (inserting new sketches), extruding, and so on. you have setup a keyboard shortcut (if none already exists) and then assign the buttons to simulate the keypress

I think I'd vote for integrating SolidMap. I saw it the first time just recently, and seems a no-brainer. I've been wishing for just something like it, but for $8000 I certainly can't jump for it.
Thanks for the reply, Jeff
I just reread your message...the assemblies I work with (around 10-30 parts) do have a lot of inter-dependent sketches, and each part will roll back to the first feature with an error, which is usually caused when I edit a part in the assembly.
A lot of times when...
Yes I do have the 64 bit hardware, and dual-core. I'll try upgrading to the next SP, see if that'll make a difference.
I had thought there was a checkbox to set the option...I guess I was mistaken
Hi all,
When rebuilding an assembly with errors, each individual part rolls back to the feature with the error, causing errors in other dependant parts. I've searched help for some kind of setting to change, and was unable to come up with anything.
I'm running SW 07 SP0.0 on a 64 bit sys.
