    Solidworks & Logitech Mouse

just opening Logitech setpoint once usually resolves that problem. It may have something to do with the 'smooth scrolling' feature in Chrome?

    Isolation Transparency in edit

I have tried changing those settings. They do work while not isolating components, but as soon as I start isolating pieces, the setting seem to have no effect. Thank you for your reply

    Isolation Transparency in edit

Thanks for your reply. I am able to make the whole assembly transparent, which is not what I want. I want all parts except the one being edited to be transparent.

    Isolation Transparency in edit

When editing a part in the context of an assembly, all other parts change to the transparent state I set in "Options". However, if I Isolate several components and then edit a part, I cannot get the other pieces to change transparency. What's up with that? Thank you SW2007, SP 3.1 Intel Core 2...

Are There Keyboard Shortcuts In SW?

sorry for not getting back sooner...I'm using a Cordless Desktop MX3000, the mouse is an MX600. I had to disable the side-scrolling option, as it clicks easier than the center button. I programmed the handiest one for 'Enter'. It's unbelievable how often that gets used, not only in SW, but any...

Are There Keyboard Shortcuts In SW?

I assigned buttons on my mouse to such tasks as (inserting new sketches), extruding, and so on. you have setup a keyboard shortcut (if none already exists) and then assign the buttons to simulate the keypress

Are There Keyboard Shortcuts In SW?

Mirisola (Mechanical) 22 Mar 07 22:01 Just because you mentioned it, holding down the middle button + ctrl will allow you to pan... IF the scroll button is setup as (middle button). I'm using a Logitech mouse, and the scroll button came assigned as (alternate scroll), or something to that...

    What's your most desired enhancement?

I think I'd vote for integrating SolidMap. I saw it the first time just recently, and seems a no-brainer. I've been wishing for just something like it, but for $8000 I certainly can't jump for it.

    Rollback on error

Thanks for the reply, Jeff I just reread your message...the assemblies I work with (around 10-30 parts) do have a lot of inter-dependent sketches, and each part will roll back to the first feature with an error, which is usually caused when I edit a part in the assembly. A lot of times when...

    Rollback on error

Yes I do have the 64 bit hardware, and dual-core. I'll try upgrading to the next SP, see if that'll make a difference. I had thought there was a checkbox to set the option...I guess I was mistaken

    Rollback on error

Hi all, When rebuilding an assembly with errors, each individual part rolls back to the feature with the error, causing errors in other dependant parts. I've searched help for some kind of setting to change, and was unable to come up with anything. I'm running SW 07 SP0.0 on a 64 bit sys. this...

    resistance in circuit

thanks, skogsgurra and waross Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough; my circuit consists of 2 (hot) wires and 1 grounded (neutral) wire. In a perfect world the 2 hot wires will carry all of the current, and the neutral wire none at all. This would be 2 circuits flowing in the same...

    resistance in circuit

You got me thinking now.....you said they cancel each other out; that means they do create an inductive current, which would impy I will get a net loss through my circuit. Is that correct? just curious respectfully

    resistance in circuit

Thanks for the quick response I did calculate the voltage drop, and am getting under 1 percent VD. Can you explain how the induction cancels itself?

    resistance in circuit

Hi, I installed light fixtures in a large facility using a pre-fabricated cabling system consisting of mc cableand plugs at each fixture. The cables come in standard lengths, which was about 5 feet too long for the span I'm crossing, so I coiled and wire-tied them above each fixture (2 loops). I...

    bending algorithm

Hi, I'm trying to create an NC controller for a 3 roll bender to roll light guage flat sheet parts of varying width, length, and radius.
