BC the command is setcrddsp. Change the default from 1 to 2. You may also at times want to change the location of the coordinate system, this command is ucs, with options listed. regards, Diego

BC, after you create your default template go to tools, options, system options, open, saveas, template file name for smartnew for the location of the default template you will use. Diego

Thanks John, the controlling sketch is what was missing from my design table attempt.

It's weird that you can put the controlling value - D1@Plane1, D1@Plane2, etc. - for a plane location into a design table but not control the value with the table. Diego

We part number stamp all military parts and many parts for some other OEM customers as required by their print or contract. Whenever possible this is done on sheet metal in the cutting program with number stamps and it costs very little to add. A few parts are laser etched if we delivery them...
