Anyone know where I might be able to find current prices for various chemcials used in BWRO potable water and sanitary wastewater reuse (for irrigation) treatment plants.
Assuming size of facilities are 0.5 - 1.0 MGD. Chemicals required and approx rates could be:
Ferric Chloride
Sulphuric...
I am looking at possible disinfection systems for a 1 MGD potable water treatment facility for a resort. Would a hypochlorite dosing system be considered `typical' for this type/size facility?
DrillerNic,
Thanks for answering. Would the 50 x pipe diameter bend radii change for different grades of pipe? Or would this be considered a safe value that can be accomplished in the field?
Hi!
For installation of a 24-inch SCH 40 API 5L Grade X42 fuel oil pipeline, anyone know what the maximum degree of bending that can be field accomplished without damaging the piping?
Thanks for your help!
I very much appreciate the responses, as this is a new area for me, and I am learning a lot about the subject.
From what I have been reading through this thread and other areas on the net, it is apparent that the low temperature should be modified from the 90 deg F. It appears that 100 F...
Thanks for the quick responses. It is no. 6 fuel oil for a power plant. The closest that I was able to find is that API 14.5 has a min & max viscosity of 150 - 480 cST @ 50C (122F). The API 13 fuel oil is typically delivered at a temperature of 140F, but can cool to close to 90F. I would...
Help!!
I have spent a lot of time searching for information regarding the viscosity of API 13 fuel oil at various temperatures. I have searched through various links given in answers to numerous threads, but keep coming up empty-handed.
Thanks for your help!
Hi!
I have been told that epoxy powder coating is a good protective coating for a seawater reverse osmosis skid frame made of either aluminum or welded carbon steel? If that is correct, how is it applied (electrostatic, baked, etc.); or is there another coating which will provide better...
I have been asked to perform an independent (out of discipline) review of the design of pipeline(s) used for the onshore transport of #6 and #2 oil. Although there will be experienced engineers responsible for the detailed review, and my review is intended to be more of an engineering...
cub3bead,
Thanks for the response. I have the same concerns regarding abrasion of the epoxy lining, and have seen what were reported to be epoxy coated valve disks that failed miserably in seawater service....could have been a bad coating job, but I'd rather that not happen with these filters...
Anyone have experience with rubber lining multi-media pressure filters? In particular, thickness of the lining. The filters are to be used as pretreatment for an RO plant, and can receive water from 2 different sources: potable water with high SDIs, and seawater from wells.
Anyone have experience with rubber lining of multi-media pressure filters? Filters are to be used for RO pretreatment, with 2 different feed sources: potable water with high SDI and seawater from wells. I am concerned about the thickness of the lining necessary.
