    SolidWorks-friendly wireless mouse?

Ooh la la... got my MX610 today and it ROCKS. Lots of buttons, no delay in rotating, nice size, etc. I highly recommend this mouse.

    SolidWorks-friendly wireless mouse?

...actually know about that. That's part of the problem--newer versions of the Intellipoint drivers don't let you disable wheel settings in specific programs. For all y'all that might be using M$ mice, the Intellipoint 3.1 drivers are the way to go.

    SolidWorks-friendly wireless mouse?

Looks like Logitech across the board... Logitech it is. I'm going to try the MX610. I'll report back on it once I recieve it. Thanks!! Brian

    SolidWorks-friendly wireless mouse?

Can any of you suggest a full-size (or almost full-size) wireless mouse that plays well with SolidWorks? A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a Microsoft wireless mouse, but I had a lot of problems with the wheel, and the newer M$ drivers wouldn't let me turn off wheel settings like the old...

Macro to count number of specific type of hole?

I'm hoping that one of you could tell me that this would work... I need to be able to count the number of instances of a specific type of hole in an assembly (in the assembly's parts). I can use a specific name in the FeatureManager for that hole type (i.e. DOWEL HOLE) if that would help the...

Rename Folder, find newly broken links?

I have, and I know about the sequence SW goes through when checking for referenced documents. I found it confusing at first--I need to take a better look at it... study it.

Rename Folder, find newly broken links?

Hmm... interesting. I've been testing this... I haven't even gotten to the point of adding the new top-level folder in "Referenced Folders" because it's fixed it every time. If I click the "References" button in the file Open dialog, the references are already fixed. I assume then that...

Rename Folder, find newly broken links?

All of my individual projects are stored in a master folder called "DRAFT". In most cases (95%) all project files are located only within the project subfolder, so I could rename that master folder until the cows come home--the references would fix themselves (find the files in the folder)...

    SW2006 SP3.1 - Macros 'flaky'?

They're not--they're local to each machine, but the work files (drawings/assemblies/parts) are on the server. I do think it's a network issue, but I want to rule out some other stuff first and thought it would be a good idea to ask. Thanks for the reply, Brian

    SW2006 SP3.1 - Macros 'flaky'?

I think that 3.1 includes 3.0 plus the Chinese stuff--after 3.1 came out, I didn't have the choice to download 3.0. I guess then that my question applies to either (3.0 or 3.1).

    SW2006 SP3.1 - Macros 'flaky'?

Have any of you noticed any odd behavior when running macros in SP3.1? Things like 'program busy' dialogs, speed issues, etc.? We've all just upgraded to SP3.1 and we're experiencing some of these things, but there's some other things going on that could also be affecting this. I'm trying to...

    SolidWorks install for 'any user'

Sorry--I should have given more info. I know of the administrative image--I use it for our installs. I'll explain a little differently--we have one computer that's sort of a back up computer--any user can log into it and work on it. For each new user that logs in, you have to customize the...

    SolidWorks install for 'any user'

Is installation (SW2006) any different if you want to give access to any user of a computer vs. a specific user (and have all customizations available to all users? Thanks, Brian

Weldments - Configurations and Cut Lists

I occasionally create cut lists on drawings for weldment parts with multiple configurations. I've noticed that the cut list doesn't work well across configurations--if weldment properties are attached to a body, and that body is changed via configurations (for example, holes are either on or...
