Alternative to Aeroglaze 9700/9743

With the recent burning down of SPS Technology's main factory, Aeroglaze 9700/9743 is no longer available. Any suggested alternatives? It is used for both joining and sealing.

Goat, the epoxy primers listed in the epoxy prime process spec at the OEM I work at are:

PPG Desoprime HS: CA7833, CA7502 (chrome free), CA7700, and C7755
Sherwin Williams Aerospace Coatings: SM0483928 (base), CM0120828 (activator)

Most commonly, we use the PPG 7833. If we need chrome-free, then the 7502. We use all of these on both steel and aluminum. Hope this helps.

We are also scrambling to find alternates to things no longer available from the SPS fire.

SPS fastener manufacturing has NO relationship to manufacture of epoxy primers. SWC's post clarified this basic truth...

The Issue from Goat... last sentence... "Any suggested alternatives? It is used for both joining and sealing."... implies that they clearly understand that Socomore products are coatings. This fundamental fact is highlighted/expanded-on by Nelle... which makes this posting seem like an advertisement for PPG coatings in disguise.

Wil, you are reading too much into this. I am simply offering possible epoxy alternates for the original poster. I've got no ulterior motives. I am an engineer at Air Tractor. We design and build crop dusting and fire fighting airplanes. We must have robust corrosion prevention measures due to how our airplanes are operated and what they carry (often times corrosive chemicals). We as a company have found these epoxy primers to be robust. I was simply sharing something with the original poster I was hoping would help him out. I am not a PPG salesman and have no affiliations with them, other than knowing they produce good paint. Posts like yours make people like me not want to respond on public forums.

I don't think it was meant personally.
It has happened (not too often) that one member asks a question and another answers it - in a blatantly "sock-puppet" fashion. Long-time members like me and Will are wary of these things; we've seen it before. One key sign is a low-time member posting asking for a product recommendation. Another sign is a question with a fairly obvious error in it. Well, check both boxes today.

@Sparweb, I know it wasn't meant personally. The assumption that my post was a sales ad in disguise, rather than one engineer trying to help another, is what irked me (temporarily). All Is good.

Back on keel, the SPS factory burning down has caused at least a moderate rippled in the OEM supply chain. We at Air Tractor bought some hardware from them that we've had to scramble to find alternates for. Additionally, SPS made some hardware or parts for PT6A engines that PWC is scrambling to find alternates for, which delays engine shipments to us and others who use their engines. I've read articles about other OEMS with similar issues.

OK, now, I have been in the business awhile... SPS is a big supplier... but not the only supplier. Look around!

We on the MIL side have a mandate to 'Buy American'... so this could be double-trouble.

Ahhh I remember the 1960s when we could buy surplus hardware for a couple of buck$ per pound from Lockheed and Douglas... then came the Fastener Quality Act.

100 plus year old building with wood floors saturated with 100 plus years of cutting oil, etc.

Anicdotally, from the web: "I work there I can’t begin to describe how much oil is in that building."
