I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to edit the $sf file for a slab and actually have the information save.

For example, I have a bunch of point loads assigned to joints, in which I want to change the applied area. I have found the entry in the $sf file, but when I change it and open up SAFE, the nodes don't actually have anything changed and it reverts the change in the $sf file.

I have never played with editting the $sf file before.

You likely could achieve changing point loads to area loads with the SAFE api or maybe even with database tables.

I got it to work by exporting the tables to excel, changing, and then re-importing. But I have to do a fresh export every time.

Sucks, but kind of works.
