Resistor - 2512 - 2 watts?
Resistor - 2512 - 2 watts?
(OP)
I have seen a spec sheet from Vishay and IMS claiming a 2W, 2512 size resistor. Usually, the standard is 1W. Does anyone have any experience with these and are there any major differences? Both seem to have the same temperature rise when the same power is disipated.
RE: Resistor - 2512 - 2 watts?
I quickly checked a Venkel catalog (because it was within arms reach) and they have both 1W and 2W resistors in the 2512 size. In fact, they have two wattage ratings on most SMT resistors.
