Can I apply a continuous 9V DC power supply to a 24V DC DIOD OR-ing unit to power up a 9V DC media converter?

I have a diode ORing unit, model 'P-OR-24-10', which operates at 24Vdc. I am applying two continuous inputs (primary and redundant) of 9Vdc each to this OR-ing module and supplying its output to a TP-media converter (model: MC210CS, with an input supply of 9Vdc). Will this configuration work reliably over a long period? However, the component used in Diode OR-ing unit is 40CPQ045 Schottky rectifier, which has 'Max. Forward Voltage Drop is 0.56Vdc only.
