Excel Header/Footer

Excel Header/Footer

I use several "worksheets" within a particular "workbook" (or file).  Very often I need the headers and footers to be the same for all worksheets.  It is a slow process to open one sheet and enter a custom header/footer, then piece by piece copy and paste it into the custom header/footer for the other sheets.
Is there a way to make a global header footer, or automatically copy a header/footer into multiple worksheets?

RE: Excel Header/Footer

Highlight the sheets you want to have the same header by holding  the shift key and left clicking on the desired sheets. Go to file - page setup and make your changes and they will be placed on all sheets.

Caution if you do not clear the multi-sheet selection and change a cell on one sheet it will change the cells on all selected sheets.

I just tried it, excellent!

RE: Excel Header/Footer

Check out ASAP Utilities from www.asap-utilities.com - this great FREE toolkit has all sorts of tools for doing this - and numerous other common and not-so-common tasks in Excel.

Hope this helps.
