Spring motion at 4.2K

I'm using a modified optical mirror mount with springs. It works fine at 30K. Not much should change going down to 4.2K. Unless the spring constant is very critical I'd suggest just trying the assembly. Conventional wisdom is that springs stay springs even at low temperature.

FYI, I've also folded aluminum foil very easily at 30K and routed thin wires. They both behave much like they do at room temperature.

Thanks for the message.A lot of the the people I have talked with speculated that not much would change in the spring behaviour, but it is good to hear from someone who has actually used them!I trust I would find the same!
