Cable-stayed bridges

Cable-stayed bridges

Cable-stayed bridges

I'm an italian engineer who is searching on the WEB technical information about CABLE-STAYED BRIDGES. I'm particulary interested at the economic proportioning of the steel cable-stayed bridges. I will be grateful to all of you who could point me out internet resources and refernces about this subject.

RE: Cable-stayed bridges

The produce stay cables, but not certain if they work with bridge/cable configurations relating to economy.  They might be able to direct you towards sites or references that can.  Telephone number in U.S.:  1-410-860-7000.

RE: Cable-stayed bridges

Go to the SteadFast (pedestian and bike bridges) Website and down load the specifications and SPECOM, (their specifications and design manual).  They manufacture prefabricated bridges including cable-stayed bridges.

RE: Cable-stayed bridges

You may want to contact Dr. Michael Swanger, Sr. Research Engineer, at the Georgia Tech - CASE Center.  He is responsible for the Cable Analysis development features in GT STRUDL.  You can see his Cable Analysis presentation at www.gtstrudl.gatech.edu or you can email him at casec@ce.gatech.edu.

Hope this helps.
