GHOST MACRO
GHOST MACRO
(OP)
I have a spread sheet for the design of reinforced concrete boxes with the following apprition:
1. There are no macros assigned to or developed within the spreadsheet.
2. At the beginning/opening of the program there is no macro inquire pop-up (enable/disenable the macro).
3. At various cells within the program I get a "pop-up" reading "The macros in this program are disabled...."
4. Go to the Tools\Macro\ and no macro name is visible eithen in the workbook or all open workbooks. i.e., there is no "named" macro to delete.
5......How do i get rid of Casper???????
Thanks Tincan.

RE: GHOST MACRO
They are pop-up "OK" or "CANCEL". Draging the mouse over the cells has no effect.
RE: GHOST MACRO
Are there any scriptable components in the sheet

RE: GHOST MACRO
The macros may be "hidden" in event procedures. Go to the VBA editor (Alt-F11) and doubleclick on all Microsoft Excel Objects of the workbook that you are having trouble with. There could be some Worksheet_Change, Worksheet_SelectionChange, or Worbook_Change events defined.
Good luck!

RE: GHOST MACRO
To: IRstuff, I have several sheet that are effected this way. However, the majority of the spreadsheets do not exhibit this problem.
Thanks, Tincan.
RE: GHOST MACRO
It's the Transition Formula Evaluator in the pre 2000 Excels that result in the ghost.
