Does anyone know how to calculate momentum drag of an Auxillary ram inlet scoop.  The scoop is to be used as a ram air heat sink?

Any reference material would also be helpful

Thank You,

If you're using a NACA duct inlet, there's a NACA report that can help you

Thank you for the response. Unfortunatly I've spent several hours seacrching the web site you recommended and have failed to come up w/ a practical example.  Do you have a specific TN or RM in mind that I may look-up?

Thanks Again

Try An experimental investigation of the design variables for NACA Submerged Duct Entrances

RM A7I30, 1948, Mossman, Randall

Or Theoretical investigation of submerged inlets at low speeds,  TN 2323, 1951

A hint on searching thru the NACA reports: don't bother with their search.  Open All Citations, and use your browser's search-on-page.  Submerged Duct and Submerged Inlet are a subject of several papers.
