I have a customer that insists on using pointed centers (Ritten or similar) instead of a tungsten carbide gage balls when measuring their shafted part.
What I’m looking for is the angular tolerance of a #16 bell center in a machined part. The Machinery’s hand book lists an ANSI specification B94.II-1967 R1972, no tolerances are listed. The stock Ritten center is at 60 degrees 15 minutes included angle. I have a call into them to see what their specification is.

There is a company that makes a machine to restore centers. I check the shop that used it and its now longer there and they don't have the manuals. I know there were tables of tolerances for different centers in the machine manual.
I try to see if I can find some the name of the manufacturer.
