Shell Joint releases?

Shell Joint releases?

Shell Joint releases?

(OP)
I am new with SAP2kV8.1.2. My model is got only shell members (slabs and walls). I want to give some partial (or total) release to some joints (not supports).
Any suggestion on how to do it?
TIA

I have been thinking about the point of my post. What if for those shells next to these joints, I assign them a  very elastic material ?

RE: Shell Joint releases?

I´m having the same doubth as you.
I´m traying now with constrains (equal) but I couldn´t have good results yet. I´ll continue studing this problem this week. If you have solve it please tell me.

RE: Shell Joint releases?

I also study this problem. I tried to use very small shells with very small bending thickness, additional to my real shells. The results seams allright but I don't really trust these kind of tricks, so if anybody knows a "legal" way of modelling pin connected shells, please write me.
